Description

The Doragon FightMech is arguably the "poster child" 60T Heavy of the Dragon Co-prosperity Union up to the 3020s.

Whilst FightTech is not as pedantic about WYSIWYG representation of models as say Pastimes Factory is when it comes to their universe (Is the Emperor actually a metaphor for Blake?!?), one of the challenging things which I faced when I started building the catalogue of bookmarks was that the variants listed didn't always match the Wiki description for the location of hard-points.

To satiate my OCD, I went with Table_Top_Gaming_Fun's 1C as the base, and coincidentally, this model appears to have been based on BLaaR's 1N.

I thought the former's AC representation looked "MOAR DAKKA!" ("I'm just a fool with a greenskin heart..."), so I cut the LT shoulder ML out and stuck the ML I used in my Skunk Bear WVR-6M into its back.

Finally, I measured the torso width against that of Syllogy's hero FightMech, the Flame, and adjusted the scale of TTGF's model accordingly for a closer match.

The pseudo line-art render shows the front and rear views, whilst the 3D Builder render indicates where the changes have been made.

The changes were brutalised into submission via MS 3D Builder (I will be grudgingly getting into Mess... sorry, Meshmixer soon) and the STL uploaded to Netfabb for clean-up.

I'm only about to print the model myself on the Photon Zero, but I have previously printed TTGF's 1C in FDM and it came out nicely, even at 0.16 layer height.

I also threw in a pre-supported STL that I made in Lychee should anyone find that sort of thing useful.

If you like the mech, please acknowledge the two modellers listed above.
