Description

After moving my printers to their new homes I found that I wanted to use more horizontal space than vertical, so I decided to mount my filament next to my printer instead of from the top rail (using RegularLabs awesome filament holder "The Rocket" https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4691695). However I also noticed there was an incredible amount of dust buildup in the new location. The small pill filters, (which I use on my Ender 5) end up dragging against the Z-rod which seemed like an issue. I wanted something that was able to filter between my reel and the beginning of the extruder bracket. I had previously been using the Filament Roller Guide by Holspeed for it's intended purpose and realized the bracket it provided was perfect for what I was looking for. I needed this to be done quickly so there can be improvements to this design, for now it fulfills my purpose and hopefully helps out someone who was in my position.

The filter mounts onto the extruder bracket and has a cutout so that the filament can easily be managed without being dragged around by the filter while inserting and removing new filament. The rear of the filter is left open for easy replacement of any type of filter/sponge you wish. This print will need a small amount of support for the front of the filter. I opted for Tree Supports in Cura and had great success. Hope this helps out someone that was in my position.

The files are oriented for optimal printing. There are two versions of this design. One has a diagonal path(EasyEnter) for the filament to be inserted, and the other is a 90 degree angle path(SlideEnter). Both have worked fine for me.
