Description

This design is a modular fixed-angle stand designed for Behringer X-Touch control surfaces. It can be used to set up an X-Touch along with any amount of Extenders at an angle on your desk.

Key Features

You won't need much additional Hardware besides your 3D Printer. The only thing I would recommend are some rubber feet to prevent the control surface from sliding around on your desk. There are six indentations in the bottom of the stand designed to fit rubber feet with a 10mm diameter. If you dont have any, you can print some using TPU or another type of flexible filament and glue them on using superglue or double-sided tape.

To use this design with a single X-Touch unit, you will need to print two stands. For each Extender you decide to add, you will need to print an additional one. This makes this setup infinitely extensible without needing to reprint anything if you add another Extender to your X-Touch setup. With the stands set up like this, your control surface should be very stable. It should not move or wobble during normal operation.

I highly recommend using PETG to print these, especially if you print them in a dark color and expect to have them exposed to sunlight. Print them laying on their side to get the best results. I would also suggest to use a brim to prevent the part from warping, since this part tends to warp quite a lot (at least compared to what I usually print).

On a side note, this part also has the option to interconnect them using additional parts which I haven't designed yet, as I found no need for interconnecting them. The required parts for interconnecting are very easy to design, so you can design them youself with custom measurements catered to your specific setup. The holes are designed with M4 screws and threaded inserts with a 6mm outer diameter in mind. The stands are perfectly stable without interconnecting them, but it will make them easier to set up if you use multiple Extenders.
