Description
I'm a huge fan of @CDS_Salzburg's Ikea Skadis system https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853257 and I like "The Filler" spool roller. This is an Ikea Skadis brace for The Filler filament spool roller, to be used with @CDS_Salzburg's Universal Hook on an Ikea Skadis board. I used the original Filler wall mount brace, cut off everything except the part that holds the Filler guide, and added a plate that takes two of "Skadis_Universal_Hook.stl" from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853257.
Additionally I added versions where the part taking the Filler guide is tilted 1°, 2° or 3° backwards. The Filler brace itself is already slightly tilted backwards. However, the edges of the Fiberlogy spools are rounded and the spool moves outwards during print, as I have mounted my Filler turned by 90°, so the Filler points in the direction where the filament is pulled which makes the movements of the spool to the outer edge of the Filler even worse. For such cases, or if your Skadis board isn't exactly upright and tilts forward, you could use the Filler_Skadis_Brace_tilted_1deg.stl, Filler_Skadis_Brace_tilted_2deg.stl or even Filler_Skadis_Brace_tilted_3deg.stl versions.
Both should work with 20% infill - I printed mine with 100% infill as I like parts like this stiff and robust.
Attach the hooks to the brace. It's a tight fit as I wanted the construction fit very well without a wobble, so The Filler stays attached securely to your Skadis board without a move also when you change filament spools - just like mounted to a wall.
You have another idea and want to remix it or base your design on this one? You find the *.step and *.FCStd (FreeCAD) file in the thing files. I'd be grateful if you ping me, if you find an optimization or an alternation.
