Description

Open PC frame II. Uses less filament compared to OPF-I and is more compact. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4658587). Just 30x45x40cm. Designed to be able to use two radiators to keep the RTX 3090 in check. Included are also parts for using a single radiator.

Vertical mount for GPU now available under https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5161654.

Max water temperature at the CPU with two radiators 50C with one 70C. About 35C on water return to the reservoir with 2 radiators under full load..

You probably want custom cables with this one. I include a small enclosure that can help with hiding some cables but I think it looks better without that.

Mobo sits on 5.5 mm tall printed spacers (glue on after putting in the heat inserts). Don't forget to put in the I/O base to hold PCIe cards in place before screwing in the I/O panel.

Printed in carbon fiber PETG, 20% infill, 2 perimeters, 5 bottom and 7 top layers. Do not use PLA as it will get soft at 60C. Please look at all the images that show the best print orientations as this is important for stability.

Updated with files for a 3D printed I/O panel. Top single v2, Top Dual v2 (Top Dual v2A,Top Dualv2B for smaller beds, glue together), Bottom v2, Front IO 2, Front IO1. Glue the two I/O panel parts together with cyanoacrylate and some kicker. PCI4xcard parts are only required if you need an extra PCI4x card up there.

For air cooled graphic cards I would use the aluminum I/O panel. A 3080 or 3090 might melt a printed panel away.

Best to stick with flexible tubing. Although the design uses the components for extra rigidity, it is more flexible then a metal case.

Can be printed on a 20x30cm bed now.

Made for Rog Maximus XII Extreme (EATX) but other MBs will fit as well.
Power supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 220-G3-1000-X1,1000 G3, 80 Plus Gold 1000W
Radiators: EKWB EK-CoolStream SE 360 Radiator, Slim Triple, Black
Reservoir/pump EK-Quantum Kinetic FLT 240 D5 PWM D-RGB
EKWB EK-Quantum Torque STC-10/13 Compression Fitting for Soft Tubing
EKWB EK-AF Classic G1/4" 90° and 45°Angled Fittings. 20 and 30mm extender fittings.

This ran with an air cooled 3090 and the aluminum I/O panel for 4 months before I was able to get the water block for it. Haven't used CPU air cooler in the past 10 years so I don't know how that would turn out with this design.

I also did a cooler for the 3080/3090 backplate: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4773792

Aluminum I/O panel: www.mountainmods.com/product_info.php?products_id=486
NOYITO 16mm Chassis Switch Metal Button Switch.

You can ad a fan to the side of the SSD holder if yours are getting too hot.

You need some assorted 6-32 screws for the I/O panel, power supply and reservoir. 6-32 1 3/4 in screws for the fans and radiators. M3 screws to put things together. Use acrylamide and kicker on the threads if M3 screws don't hold. M3 or M4 heat inserts and M3/M4 screws for the Mobo.

Please realize that I only share designs I make for myself because I need them and to have fun. They are shared all under non-commercial share alike license. This is meant for makers and requires some careful consideration and tools. Importantly, this is a experimental design and not a commercial product. Please send feedback and concerns.

I am not qualified to advise on specific PC parts. For that please follow your favorite YouTube channel. Please ask questions on twitter and I will try to help when I have time. If you don't have a 3D printer or your build plate is too small, visit your local maker space. Have fun making and share the results.
