Siemens EQ.9 Spindle Removal Tool

Spindle Removal Tool for Siemens EQ.9 coffee maker brew units.

Disassembling the spindle is quite difficult as there are three clips that are deep inside the spindle that need to be released to twist the top part. You can use three screw drivers for that task as well, this tool though makes it a lot easier. Simply use a 3/8 extension with around the length of the spindle and push the tool gently inside the spindle. The tool can be rotated to fit deeper inside. You may then need a bit of force and patience to get under the clips to release them and then twist top part and spindle.

Note that I had to use a file to make the smaller blades of the tool sharper to fit under the clips easily.
