Description

Wheel set for motorized vehicles such as Arduino-car, Robo-car etc.

These wheels consist of three separately printable parts:

1- The hub (with attachment for TT-Motor and Nema-Motor with 5 mm shaft), has two different heights to better adapt the complete wheel to the shaft of the motor used and according to the size of the wheel.

2- The 5-spoke rim, in four different sizes (60x20 - 70x25 - 80x30 - 100x10), has a simple, modern line, easily printable and it doesn't need support (except a little support for a few square millimeters in the center of the rim for the locking screw).

3- The tire, minimal, not excessively thick and with a light tread, is designed with a size of 60x20 but in the slicing phase it is possible to customize it in various sizes by varying only the resizing parameters of the object. Obviously it must be printed in TPU or it is possible not to print it and replace the tire with strips of inner tube, rubber elastic band or a rubber strip for creative hobbies also called Gomma Eva, Crepla or Fommy (not very rubbery but with a good grip).

The connection between the hub and the rim can be done in two ways:
or by gluing with cyanoacrylate glue and M3 through screw or by tightening only with M3 screw.
With the screw, first create the thread of the holes and then insert the screw into the rim, glue the internal surface, insert the hub and tighten the screw to lock everything.

If you don't want to make the pieces separable or do without gluing, you can print a single piece, overlapping the pieces in the slicing phase.

The hubs adapt perfectly to the motor shafts, but to avoid uncoupling, there are predispositions for insert small locking screws.

Good fun.

Note:
0.20 layer
20-40 % infill for the tire (depends on the hardness of the TPU)
30% infill for the rim
100% for the hub

Tire in Tpu or as a replacement, glue a strips of inner tube, rubber band or Eva, Crepla or Fommy (multiple overlapping strips).
