Description
Computer case feet made to give better airflow to my computer (it's in a cramped spot) and possibly reduce vibration/noise and dust. The feet raise the computer by 74mm ± a few mm depending on print settings, material, and computer weight.
Warnings
The feet are springy and could help reduce vibration, but I doubt the anti-vibration feature is necessary. The spiral shape is mostly for fun, to utilize the precision of 3D printing, but please let me know if you test this or want to share your experience.
The feet fit the rubber part of my H500 case, please measure yours and adjust the 3D file if the measurements don't match, or if you think your 3D printer needs different margins. I've heard that there are different dimensions for the rubber parts on the bottom of these cases.
I measure the rubber feet to be 2.05mm x 13.2mm x 39mm.
I noticed the CPU idle temperature dropped by a few degrees for me as the computer was in a really cramped spot. I did not measure this precisely nor did I make sure to avoid confounding variables, so you might not see the same cooling effect (would love to hear your experiences on this, both good and bad).
Displacement simulation: https://vimeo.com/535817681
Displacement was estimated to 2.4mm, but the ones I printed were pressed down 3mm, resulting in 77-3=74mm height.
