Description
This is a commonly broken part in many Pioneer Laserdisc players. I modeled it close to the original but modified the design to accept metal shafts for the gears to ride on.
The smaller top gear uses a 2mm shaft and the larger bottom gear uses a 2.5mm shaft.
I don't have a resin printer, so I designed this model to accept metal shafts pressed in to the holes.
I used these shafts from Amazon and cut them down to size and pressed them into the holes in the printed model. Once you have them fitted you can add a drop of superglue on the outside to ensure they stay in place.
The design is not perfect, but it is working for me to be able to watch a movie all the way through without skipping. I hope that others will work on it and refine it over time.
I've released to these files to the public domain with no restrictions. If you work off of this, please pay it forward and also release your work for others to use.
Thanks!
