Description
Changed the original model a bit to make a slightly oversized, more decorative then practical, mobile holder for a good friend.
Model was changed and split up in Z-Brush.
Parts were printed with different filaments.
The different parts were simply glued together .
Supports are necessary for most of the parts.
On the main body the support surface can be mostly hidden within the belly inlay.
I printed the head seperately with the snout upwards so the mouth was free of supports.
I use in Cura heavily the "support interface" option for better removal of supports and cleaner surfaces - still learning ( support z distance 0.12 - 0,2 ( very filament related ) , support x/y distance 0.5, support interface thickness 0.8 and interface density 95% ) .
The base is optional since the model is able to stand on its own but without it's base it's not so reliable to hold a mobile safe in its spot.
The base has a tunnel with an opening on the back and below the mobile stand so a USB-cable can be attached to it.
The base is rather unspectacular and could be made much smaller but it was a present and i was out of time to make it more fancy.
I think about updating the base with a more pleasing design ( instead of this "burned cake" optic ).
Have fun and happy printing
