##Ball chain gear samples for 3.2 mm, 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm beads
I needed some ball chain gears as experiment for a thing ( https://www.thingiverse.com/make:929621 ) so I wrote a script that generated the essential part (correctly sized teeth) of the ball chain gear.
I generated more, maybe one will be useful for others ...
The stl filenames indicate the gear and ball size.
BeadChainGear_x.y_aaa__bb.stl
• x.y - the bead diameter in mm
• aaa - the number of beads in a meter (pitch of the chain)
• bb - the number of teeth (hulls) on the gear.
The center hole diameter is 2 mm and the thickness of the gears are 6 mm.
Each hull is a half sphere, and they are oversized with 10%.
Download the one that best suits your needs, modify it if necessary (bigger center hole, adding hub or sideplate, etc) to fit your thing. You can reduce or enlarge a few percent if necessary to get a perfectly sized gear pitch fitting to your chain.
There are many different sizes of ball chain, see the link: https://www.ballchain.com/chain-sizes/
Click like if you find a good one or write a comment if you feel there would be something to change...
Update 01.01.2022: Added some 4.5 mm bead (#10) sprocket.
