Description
I hate making more screw holes into my wall just to mount a holder. I did not find any ceiling fan remote mount options that directly use the existing Decora plate. There is only those that prints the switch plate with the holder.
The switch cover with the holes to allow manual override of the switch was a nice touch but it was only to protect the switch from operating.
Combining the switch cover with enlarge opening to allow fingers to operate and attach to the mount resulted in this.
The mount was made for a Hunter remote model 85094. But I guess it can be remix for any size since the original remote holder was larger and I had to shrink it down to fit my model.
Hope you find it useful. I never lose my remote again.
Update: 2021/06/07
Add new mount that replace a single gang switch plate since the remote is very big and would not fit on a multi-gang plate. The Hampton Bay remote snaps in place firmly. It will need a bit of push to get it out.
