Description
Vice clamps for Cannondale Headshok and Cannondale Lefty damper cartridges and for 9 mm and 10 mm bicycle hub axles.
for dampers with a 12.7 mm shaft that require tool HDTL187 (e.g. Headshok Fatty, Lefty 1.0 with a shock boot and Lefty Hybrid with 32 mm legs), download clamp_12-7mm.stl
for dampers with a 16 mm shaft that require tool KH135 (e.g. Lefty 2.0 / Supermax with 36 mm legs), download clamp_16mm.stl
for dampers that require tool K91009 (Lefty Ocho), download clamp_10mm.stl and clamp_17-5mm.stl
for axles of traditional front hubs, download clamp_9mm.stl
for axles of traditional rear hubs, download clamp_10mm.stl
Warning: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN the vice on the damper shaft or you could ovalize and ruin it. Friction of plastic clamps is inferior to Cannondale's aluminum clamps. Plastic clamps won't keep the aluminum shaft from deforming when squeezed too hard. Do not apply too much pressure with the vice.
Note: The shaft end of the damper is glued in with high strength threadlocker that needs to be softened with heat before unscrewing. Once the threadlocker is softened, the shaft end should be removable with little torque.
