Cessna 172 182 door handle escutcheon replacement

These left and right escutcheon plates fit certain model Cessna 172 Skyhawk and Cessna 182 Skylane aircraft. They fit behind the rotating handle that opens and closes the door from the inside of the aircraft to indicate proper door operation. Cessna part numbers are p/n 0705042-5 for the left door, and p/n 0705042-6 for the right door. Check your Cessna Illustrated Part Catalog or talk to your mechanic to ensure this part will fit your aircraft. FAA regulations allow owner-produced parts, this part is not PMA-approved.

I have included two versions with both embossed and debossed lettering, as well as the Blender file if you want to make your own modifications to the parts.

This part is best printed on an SLA printer (I used an Anycubic Photon) for the greatest results in part strength and detail, but you may be able to pull it off on an FDM printer with patience.
