Both lid and body are the same size. This is so that it can be printed with any extrusion width size. In order for the lid to fit properly, it has to be scaled with a formula. Follow these steps:

  1. Determine the desired scale. 100% is about 180mm in height and 115mm in width. We'll use 50% for this example.
  2. The body can be printed in vase mode with the desired scale and extrusion width. We'll use 0.85mm extrusion width on a 0.4mm nozzle for rigidity. Proceed with printing.
  3. Now for the lid, Place the lid on slicer with the desired scale (50%). Take note on the X/Y size in mm. Let's say it's 52mm.
  4. Determine the clearance needed between the lid and body. Let's say 1mm (0.5mm on each side). This clearance depends on the user's printer. If your printer does not print circle well, it's better to increase the clearance as it might jam the thread. Test with smaller scale first.
  5. Calculate this formula : (Extrusion width x 2) + (Clearance x Scale%)
    Using our example as above : (0.85 x 2) + (1 x 50%) = 2.2mm
  6. Add the calculated formula into the X/Y size in slicer (make uniform changes). Our example is from 52mm changed to 54.2mm. This results in 52.12% in slicer (auto).
  7. Print the lid with the new calculated scale.
  8. Adjust clearance as desired.
  9. Take note that only the lid has to be calculated. The body can be straight away print with the desired scale.
