Description
Designed as an identical replacement to the DR Mad Thrust 40mm EDF fan. I made this model due to not being able to find an easily purchasable replacement.
Printing:
Bed Adhesion: Highly recommended to use a brim or raft style bed adhesion to prevent
blades from lifting
Layer Height: Use a .15mm or .10mm layer height for good resolution and strength
Support: Support material is only needed for 70 degree over hang and higher
Print Orientation: Print with back side of fan on the bed so layers go from back to front for
optimal material properties
Print temp: Use a slightly higher print temp than average to improve layer adhesion for
your filament. I used 203degrees for PLA as an example
Infill: use 100% infill to ensure any internal cavities are filled (none should be present just
to ensure part is solid)
Fan mounts with a single screw through the front just as the original EDF fan for the DR
Mad Thrust unit. The STL file is of a CCW version to match original. With a mirror feature in Cura or simulate slicer a CW version can be made
