The 35° Angled Freedom Grip v1.2
This is a front grip for your airsoft units. This is designed to slip on a standard picatinny rail or MLOK rail depending on which file you choose.
I at this point the project is complete so I won't be doing anymore testing, but feel free to print one out yourself and leave feedback or remix it yourself.
For Pic Rail versions: I designed it to hold in place with a 5x32mm SHCS 5mmx35mm will work just fine and is more available. Alternatively, 3/16"x1.25" or 13/64"x1.25" will work as well.
For MLOK versions: 10mm or 12mm MLOK hardware is needed. I used 12mm.
I printed this Rail-side down with no supports, and let my printer bridge like a champ. You can go ahead and add Supports Touching Build Plate Only, if you want an easier print and don't mind the post process.
FDM works great, but I have printed in Resin as well with no issues
PLA+ is my preferred resin.
Adjust your infill to how much recoil your airsoft has. 4 walls, 30% infill has been more than plenty for a couple hundred 556 airsoft pellets for PLA. The same settings work great for TPU with 762-39 airsoft pellets.
For walls, I always suggest 4 or more. At minimum 3 walls.
For what it's worth, the MLOK Streamline is my favorite to use.
------------------------------LATEST EDIT 2023-10-22------------------------------
There are now 4 basic versions, 2 utilize a Pic Rail and 2 mount with M-LOK. They are as follows.
Fore Grip - The original grip that mounts to a Pic Rail
Split - The original Pic Rail grip with a split design along to grip that adds some "give" for a stronger attachment.
MLOK Standard - This a grip that has the basic MLOK alignment features. Bolts feed through the grip where your hand goes.
MLOK Streamline - A grip with no alignment features. Bolts feed from the Rail-side of the grip through Keymod style holes. Holes on the grip are for an hex key to tighten the bolt. Because of this, the holes are smaller, and it is more comfortable than the MLOK Standard.
In addition, I have included a Closed version (denoted -C) where the triangular opening is has a center rib to help support materials that don't like bridging. This affectively closes the opening, hence "Closed version" This has really helped in my TPU-printed grips so that I can avoid using supports.

------------------------------2021.09.15 EDIT------------------------------
I tried making some adjustments based off of feedback and I crashed the model... permanently. So I did what any sane person would do and start modeling completely from scratch! Now the model should be way less glitchy, and I made a point to add the picatinny mount last to make the model less angry when making adjustments. As a added bonus, the newer, better files are ¾ the file size.
For version 1.1, I took a lesson from our good friend Booligan, and I let his SG22 pic rail-mounted Brace inspire (read: outright stolen) the mount for the 35° Angled Freedom Grip. Booligan adds a split down the rail to help with give when tightening the bolt. This feature likely makes a better product, but also would make it more difficult to print supportless. So I went ahead and up loaded a version without the split (35 Fore Grip Split V1.1) and without it (35 Fore Grip V1.1)
