Universal precision screwdrivers case.

I think it will have happened to you too that the nice container of precision screwdrivers breaks, scattering screwdrivers all over the house or laboratory and making it difficult to find them at the right moment. For this reason I have designed a universal case, large enough and capacious to hold about 12 screwdrivers of different sizes. The two parts that make up the project have predispositions in which to glue foam, sponge or any other rubbery material (I used sponge strips obtained from an old gymnastic mat) on which to engrave with cutter, slots to lock in a stable position screwdrivers. Once printed, the two shells are held together by inserting two pieces of printing filament. In case of difficulty in insertion (the holes are 1.80 mm, but the accuracy depends from printer to printer) it is advisable to enlarge gently the holes with a small 2 mm drill bit or insert a small nail cut to size (about 2 cm) or a piece of paper clip. I hope you like the project. Good fun.

extrusion width 0.35 (better 0,30)
infill 0.50
temperatures 210°
(the last 3 values are slightly out of standard to ensure hardness of the hinges, which being very small also need to be very sturdy).


Custodia universale per cacciaviti di precisione.

Penso che sarà capitato anche a voi che il bel contenitore dei cacciaviti di precisione si rompa, spargendo cacciaviti per tutta la casa o il laboratorio e rendendo difficoltosa la loro ricerca nel momento opportuno. Per questo motivo ho progettato una custodia universale, abbastanza grande e capiente da poter contenere circa 12 cacciaviti di diverse misure. Le due parti di cui si compone il progetto hanno delle predisposizioni in cui incollare dei supporti di spugna espansa o qualsiasi altro materiale gommoso (io ho utilizzato delle strisce di spugna ricavate da un vecchio tappeto ginnico) su cui incidere delle fessure per bloccare in posizione stabile i cacciaviti). Una volta stampati, i due gusci sono tenuti insieme attraverso l'inserimento di due pezzi di filamento di stampa. In caso di difficoltà di inserimento (i fori sono da 1,80 mm, ma la precisione dipende da stampante a stampante) è opportuno allargare i fori con una piccola punta da trapano da 2 mm oppure inserire un piccolo chiodo tagliato a misura (circa 2 cm) o un pezzo di graffetta fermafogli. (gli ultimi 3 valori sono leggermente fuori standard per garantire la durezza delle cerniere, che essendo molto piccole devono essere anche molto robuste)
