Makerfarm I3V or I3 8 Inch Y-Motor Bracket for Dampener

UPDATE 2 MAR 2015:

Redesigned this bracket to move the motor by approximately 3mm to better align the pulley with the belt track. You still need to flip the pulley around.

Also, included some holes that are under the motor to encourage airflow around the motor. A future iteration will include an integrated fan mount.

Lastly, I uploaded the STL in the correct print orientation.

This redesigned motor mount bracket allows the installation of an astrosyn stepper dampener on a Makerfarm I3V or I3 8in. that is what I have. It might work on a 10 inch version, I am not sure. I have been having resonance issues with fast Y movement on my machine. This fixed it.

The bracket moves the motor closer to the center away from the extrusion. the bracket also has a dishout in the bottom such that no part of the motor is contacting the machine directly.
I installed one of these on my x-axis and my y-axis and my Makerfarm I3V has become nearly as quiet as my Mini Kossel with dampeners.
