I wanted a greater degree of accuracy for calibrating my new Creality CR-10S Pro V2. So I designed this 100x100x100 calibration thing. My goal was no supports, minimal filament, minimal print time and maximum calibration accuracy.

I feel the 20x20x20 cube is very helpful but less accurate. A 20x20x20 cube takes about a half hour to print. This thing takes about one hour to print. A 100x100x100 cube takes over 13.5 hours. The print time for this thing is not bad for the equivalent of a 100 mm cube. So, IMO, 500% times the accuracy for a 50% increase in printing time is well worth the extra half hour. In my case, I was able to get my CR10S Pro V2 to print this thing at exactly 100.00 x 100.00 x 100.00. I'd say dead-on at 100th of a mm is pretty good.

My Creality CR-10S Pro V2 factory default steps were:

E140.00
X80.00
Y80.00
Z400.00

My final calibration settings for my CR10S Pro V2 are:

E144.75 (Calibrate your extruder 1st)
X80.12
Y80.14
Z400.28

If you have the same machine, your calibration steps will NOT be the same as mine. I made the calibration adjustments with a free Chrome extension called gcode-sender. The baud rate must be set to 115200. I needed gcode-sender because Creality does not provide a way to change the CR10S Pro V2 steps in their stock firmware like the Ender 3 does.

Also, M92 will not get the default XYZE values. You need to send M503 to get them. On the other hand, M92 does work to set the values, followed by M500 to save the new values. I found gcode-sender to be exactly what I needed to calibrate my machine. It's very easy to use. Plus, it's free. Free is good.

I highly recommend gcode-sender as a way to get and send gcode values.

I filleted all the corners where the measuring is done. This eliminates measuring errors due to z-seam corner build-up.
