Description

EDIT: I have created a new and improved version of the adapter. see my file "Thermacell_Filler_v1"
I would label this version as obsolete as the newer version is a stand-alone unit that utilizes the gasket on the cartridge

this is an adapter for a standard butane tank to fill up thermacell cartridges. It isn't totally foolproof it can leak since butane is a high-pressure liquid/gas. to combat leakage I used some Teflon tape commonly used on threaded pipe fittings. I'm sure you can find something else just as good.
there are many videos on youtube showing you how to remove the one-way valve which they put in to prevent you from re-filling your own. you take out the brass nozzle with pliers careful not to mark it up. put a screw into the valve and pull it out. then you shove the brass nozzle back in. make sure it goes in all the way there are 3 ridges on the outside of it, it should click 3 times if you listen carefully. if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section, ill be glad to help.
