Description

This is a mounting plate for the Kulp Lights K8-B with hole spacing in the plate, designed to mount into a CableGuard CG1500 enclosure.

There are 4 variations of the file depending on what you need:

  • Internal_Holes: Mounting holes are underneath K8-B and plate must be mounted before mounting K8-B to the plate. This allows for tighter mounting of items in the enclosure.
  • External_Holes: Mounting holes are extended from the plate, allowing you to access all of the screws with the K8-B mounted to the plate.

Note: It is not difficult to just drill your own holes in either variation of the plate, the CG1500 has an easy spacing of 1" between the holes on the main grid

  • Threaded_Inserts: The raised holes for attaching to the K8-B have a diameter of 4.2mm allowing for brass threaded inserts for M3 screws to easily be melted in place.
  • No_Threaded_Inserts: The raised holes for attaching the K8-B have a diameter of 2.75 to allow for a standard m3 machine screw (or similar) to be screwed straight into the plastic.

Note: It is not difficult to widen these holes with a drill if needed, some 3d printers may not all produce the holes the same size. the Kulp controller has holes with a diameter of 3.2 mm

Needed Items:

  • 4x m3 machine screws with length ~7mm in length
  • OPTIONAL: 4x m3 threaded brass inserts ~4mm in length
  • ~4x short small wood screws for screwing into the CG1500 through the plate's 3.5mm mounting holes.
