A kit to adapt a Helios 44-2 to fit Nikon F mount and have infinity focus.

To get infinity focus only two washers are needed, one placed at the iris and another at the furthest rear element.

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY WARNING: Mirror Strike Risk ⚠️This modification allows the Helios 44-2 to achieve infinity focus on Nikon F-mount cameras, but it results in a significant rear protrusion (approx. 9.4mm). Risk of Damage: On Full-Frame (FX) film and digital cameras with large mirrors (especially the Nikon F5, F4, D850, and D810), the rear glass element may strike the mirror when focused at or near infinity. Check Your Clearances: Always test this mod using your camera’s Mirror Lock-Up (MLU) lever before taking a photo. If the lever feels stiff or the mirror doesn't lock smoothly, do not use the lens at that focus distance. 3D Printing Tolerances: Ensure your printer is well-calibrated. Over-extrusion or "elephant’s foot" on the printed washers can increase the protrusion depth beyond safe limits. Safe Alternative: This mod is 100% safe for all Nikon Z-series mirrorless cameras using an FTZ/FTZ II adapter, as there is no moving mirror. Use this modification at your own risk.
