Description

This is a super simple (and fairly specific) thing, but maybe someone else will find it useful. If you download, print, and use this thing, you do so AT YOUR OWN RISK.

IMPORTANT WARNING : DO NOT REMOVE YOUR Z-STOP SWITCH UNLESS YOU HAVE SOME SORT OF ABL(Automatic Bed Leveling) LIKE A BL TOUCH OR SOME OTHER Z CONTROL MECHANISM WORKING AS A Z STOP. If you disconnect your original Z Stop switch and don't have something else, your printer will probably keep trying to move your gantry lower and lower, waiting to hit the switch that it will never find, pushing the extruder into the bed, and potentially causing all kinds of damage to your motors, Z-rods, bed, extruder, etc...Don't risk it if you're not sure what you're doing.

With that warning out of the way, this thing is a simple spacer to replace the Z Stop switch plate on my Creality CR-10S. Some time ago,I added a BL Touch sensor that functionally replaces the Z Stop(and required me to disconnect it from the mainboard). It isn’t necessary to remove the Stop switch from the printer, but some other adjustments I made affected my bed position. The gantry would keep clicking the switch while printing the first few layers, which was just giving me a bad feeling. With this spacer you can remove the Z Stop switch plate from the T brace and still use the original bolts to attach the T brace to the vertical frame.

I do not know if this will work with any other printers besides the Creality CR-10S, but I would expect it to at least be compatible with other CR-10 models that use T braces to support the vertical frame onto the horizontal. Smaller printers like the Ender 3 typically don't have the T brace or need a spacer. If you try this for another printer, PLEASE comment and share whether it is compatible or not to help out anyone else who might like this. I will try to keep a list of compatible models at the top of the description.
