M79 "Blooper" 1961 Era

This is a remix of Sprung's "M79 Fun-Gun" remix, which you can find here: Link to Thingiverse.

I've integrated a One Piece M433 HEDP 40mm Grenade by refleks, accessible here: Link to Thingiverse.

To accommodate the grenade, I resized most of the original parts to 97%. This adjustment allows a 40mm diameter grenade with an approximately 42mm base lip to be loaded into the Blooper without any binding issues. Initially, the original dimensions allowed the grenade to pass through the barrel without any constraints. Instead of resizing the grenade, I chose to adjust the Blooper's size, making it compatible with other 40mm grenades as well.

Furthermore, I edited the stock using 3DS Max and fused it into one piece. After experiencing multiple failed prints of the split stock, I concluded that it needed a high infill to maintain structural integrity. This change also required modifications to the stock attachment, as I removed the circular protrusions that facilitated attachment with the one-piece stock. Please note that the success of this modification may vary depending on your setup.

Additionally, I discovered that Sprung's remix was missing a crucial part in the Archive, which was available as a separate download in the files list. You can access the missing Front Stock part here: Link to Thingiverse.

I've also included the Range Sight and Front Sight by Lukas Smejkal (HejkalCZE) from the "Bootleg M79 CYMA grenade launcher conversion kit," which can be found here: Link to Thingiverse. Please be aware that you might need to adjust the sight mount to align the sight properly on the barrel and prevent it from overlapping the front sight. Individual preferences may vary.

Airsoft Usage: The original design suggests that the Blooper is functional with Airsoft Gas Grenades. However, as I haven't been in the Airsoft scene for approximately a decade and have never owned an Airsoft Gas Grenade, I cannot guarantee that this remix will work with your specific Gas Grenade. If you intend to use it for Airsoft with a Gas Grenade, please take measurements of your Grenade and adjust the dimensions as needed before printing.

DISCLAIMER: While every effort has been made to ensure that the M79 can be printed with minimal complications, it's essential to recognize that every 3D printer, type of filament, workshop environment, and slicer settings may differ. Some post-printing preparations like sanding and filing may be necessary. My own experience involved numerous failed prints, adjustments, and post-printing refinements to achieve a successful assembly, which I would estimate at about 80% success. Some aspects could have been improved, and adjustments may vary. The process took me approximately two weeks to print and assemble the first model. Again, your mileage may vary.

I've included a Cura 3MF file with the Blooper "assembled" and grouped. To access it in Cura, go to Preferences > Configure Cura > General, uncheck "Automatically drop models to the build plate," then right-click and "ungroup" the model. This allows you to view how the parts are assembled and make any necessary adjustments.

Summary
