WORK IN PROGRESS , Im still printing and tweaking

So a bit bout WHY? The suspension block is not partilarly hard to get or especially expensive. However Whilst I LOVE my brompton I dont partiularly like the company or how its ran.
They appear to deliberetly use non standard parts to force people into buying from them, refuse to sell some parts direct unless fitted by a "authorised dealer" and go after people who make similar or even better products, They have sat on a 1979 Patent (which has actually now expired) and made not much innovation.
None of this is illegal or wrong I should point out , I just dont agree with it.
Which is why Im on a quest to replace as much of my brompton as possible with non OEM parts. Even if it means spending more money and a ridiculous amount of time making my own :P
Hence designing my own suspension Block.

This is not a direct Copy of the OEM part Ive based my Dimensions off where it needs to fit adding and subtracting where it seems appropriate and played it my ear regarding the overall shape.

In theory you can dial in the hardness with your infill settings , Personally Im aiming for a kind of two stage hardness with 25% of the block at 60% infill and the rest at 100%.

I guess in theory you could also use a rigid plastic for zero suspension , Not sure how the bike or part would stand up to it though.

Im still very new to CAD modelling so Ive probably done it completly wrong , I am learning though :D

Seems to be about the same if not slighty firmer than the Brompton FIRM block (pictured) using a 85a shore hardness filament. I like a nice firm rear end ;) so perfect for me but I may try an harder filament as soon as I have some.

UPDATE 07/11/21
Ive uploaded the V2 Which is a better fit to the bike overall and made a 2 part one so you can play around with having your suspension in two different materials to allow 2 different hardnesses.
