Description
While this drill guide is not technically a remix, I wanted to give credit where credit is due. RickSisco posted a very helpful guide about the parts needed to keep the Z-Screws in sync on a Creality CR10S Pro: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3508682. I have the V2 version of this wonderful printer.
His instructions suggest you drill an access hole for an Allen Wrench to make tightening the grub screws easier. Twist drills have a tendency to walk away from where you want the hole when drilling on smooth, hard surfaces. Since there's only one chance to get the hole in the exact location, I created this drill guide. Just keep one hand pushing down on the guide as you are drilling in order to keep it from lifting. Use a 1/8" or 3mm twist drill.
Here are the links to the two items I purchased to make this worthwhile mod. No belt tensioner required:
C-13 3D Printer GT2 6mm Closed Loop Rubber 2GT Timing Belt Length - 2GT-760mm, Qty 1.
Thanks to RickSisco for his guide. I was able to do this mod and get my x-axis gantry within 0.3mm, side-to-side. It has remained at this measurement since making this mod.
Check out one of my other creations to see how I can accurately make the side-to-side measurement: Bed Leveling Gauge Mount for 2020 Extrusion
