Christmas Teardrop Ornaments

This is a set of 6 Christmas ornaments. The photos above show each one frmo two different angles.

These are all created in the same basic way (see the "How I designed this" section of my Elegant Double-Spiral Christmas Ornament. The differences come from the number of rings, the amount of twist on each, and the Z-index angles between the rings. These are part of my Christmas Collection.

I designed these to print easily, to be light (heaviest is under 25g), and to look elegant when printed in one color. I provided two versions of each ornament - with and without custom supports. With the supports and a raft, no other supports should be necessary.

With my print settings, each ornament takes about 6 hours to print.

I recommend using a metallic or silky filament (or spray paint the final print with a metallic paint). The metallic or silky highlights will catch the light and show off the complex geometry of the ornaments.

At 100%, these are about 125mm high and look good on a standard tree (1.5 meter and larger). I've tested one at 70% and it printed very well. They may print well even smaller than that.

v9.1 and v12.1 are basically the same, but the loops at the top are rotated 90 degrees so different sides face outward. If you look at the straight-on, they look like very different designs.
