This adapter plate allows you to mount a BigTreeTech SKR v1.3, SKR v1.4 or SKR v2 32 bit motherboard, which all share same mount points, in a Longer LK5 Pro printer, using the original Longer motherboard mounting posts underneath the printer. A 40x40 mm fan mount is also included on the adapter.
Pros:
- Uses same mount points and location as LK5 Pro.
- Might work on other Longer printers if they share same mount points
- Allows all existing cabling to work without modification or extension.
Cons:
- Requires permanent removal of the original bottom sheet metal shroud because SD card and USB port locations do not match. This exposes bard components and power supply connections.
- Access to SD card and USB connections is more difficult, but not impossible. If a TFT35 smart touch screen is used, this is less of an issue because you can mount SD card or USB thubm drive in the TFT35 for printing. So it is only an issue for firmware loading, which should not be necessary that often.
