Description
I needed some kind of complement/weapon for my Halloween mandalorian helmet and a pumpkin thermal detonator looked the best option (suck it, Green Goblin!). Since I was in a hurry, I simply remixed a pumpkin model and re-used the ring from RS_Anderson's detonator (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4740253).
Shells can be printed in PLA or resin (for best, no-sanding, results) just scale all parts accordingly (Ie: ring OD ~ shell ID) and glue everything in place (ie: hot glue). Or you also can add some electronics from simply blinking LEDs and a button cell to a full thermal detonator pattern circuit as I did (The separated stem hides the switch).
SW thermal detonator prop has uneven edges in each shell and that was my target when re-sculpting the model. But anyway, I include also the straight edge version in case anyone find it useful. And also the no-separated stem version.
You will need supports.
