Description
A tool for production coffee roasting.
This is a wide mouth 250ml cylinder for determining green coffee bean settled bulk density.
Fill with coffee beans, weigh the beans and multiply by 4 to get weight per liter.
Density (Grams/Liter).
To get settled density in g/mL, you can either:
a) divide weight of coffee by 250 or
b) multiply weight of coffee by 4 and move decimal point to the left three positions.
Green coffee beans vary in density from growing region, varietal and seasonal crop. This can be a costly challenge when exploring the best heat application for a new bean. This tool quickly measures density so that you can match up a similar density bean from past roast profiles for an possible successful starting approach.
