Description
The peristaltic pump is a very useful pump for biology and chemistry because the liquid only comes into contact with the tubing and it can be easily replaced. Most pumps require a high torque motor to function and this one was designed to work with a simply hobby Servo or DC Motor.
The key design features that enable a lower torque motor are the use of a small diameter, very flexible silicon tube as well as screws to adjust the tension on the tubing to find the "sweet spot" where the motor can still turn while functioning as a pump.
