Description
This is a fan mount compatible with ender 3 and other printers using the same X-axis carriage. It was made to allow compatibility with different hot ends. Has enough clearance between the heat block and the fan duct and will not melt.
The fan is vertically adjustable (about 7mm) so the air can be precisely directed straight below the nozzle without touching the part being printed.
Does not require supports to be printed.
It requires a 4020 fan. If you find any problems spinning the fan at low speeds just uncomment //#define FAN_KICKSTART_TIME 100 under marlin firmware file Configuration_adv.h . Adjust the time as needed. I set mine to 200ms.
UPDATE: 19/07/2023
Now available: Dual exhaust version! Compatible with the previous plate. I have also added two new plates. Both have an increased range of vertical adjustment (2.5mm), the only difference between them is is their thickness. The thicker also has an improved chamfer and is recommended for heavier fans.
All new parts are identified as V2. No supports required for printing.
