Artillery BMG Mosquito Hotend Fan Mod 404020

Dies ist ein Mosquito Hotend Fan Mod für alle Artillery Sidewinder und Genius Drucker.
Er dient dazu, den kleinen 2525 Hotendlüfter des Mosquito durch einen 404020 oder 404010 Lüfter zu ersetzen.
Durch diesen Mod wird die Kühlung des Hotend erhöht, so dass eventuelle Probleme mit PLA beseitigt werden. Das Hotend neigt ohne den Mod beim Druck von PLA gerne zum Verstopfen. Der Kühlkörper des Hotend liegt beim 2525 Lüfter zu sehr im Windschatten des Lüftermotors und wird dadurch nur unzureichend gekühlt. Bei Filamenten mit einer etwas höheren Schmelztemperatur wie PETG/ASA, macht sich das nicht so stark bemerkbar, wie bei eher schmelzenden Filamenten wie PLA.

Der Mod besteht aus 3 (4) Druckteilen.
Einer Basis, die auf den BMG Extruder geschraubt wird, einem Aufsatz (Zwischenplatte), der zwischen Lüfter und Basis kommt und einem Luftkanal, der in die Basis gesteckt wird.
Wer möchte, kann sich zusätzlich noch das Lüftergitter drucken, es kann aber auch das Gitter vom Titan Lüfter verwendet werden oder man kauft sich ein fertiges aus Metall.

Die Basis und der Aufsatz können aus PLA gedruckt werden.
Der Luftkanal sollte mind. aus PETG, besser aus ASA gedruckt werden.

Der Heizblock des Mosquito sollte sich möglichst nicht direkt unter dem Luftkanal befinden (siehe Bilder). Druckt man ihn aus ASA, sollte das jedoch auch kein Problem sein. Im Zweifelsfall kann man den Luftkanal auch mit etwas Kapton-Tape vor der Hitze schützen.

Dieser Bauteillüfter passt hervorragend zum Luftkanal.
Es kann natürlich auch jeder andere verwendet werden, solange es keine Platzprobleme gibt.

Es kann aber auch der originale 40x40x10 Lüfter vom Titan Hotend verwendet werden.
Die vier Schrauben müssen dann entsprechend 10mm kürzer gewählt werden.

This is a Mosquito Hotend Fan Mod for all Artillery Sidewinder and Genius printers.
It is used to replace the Mosquito's small 2525 hot end fan with a 404020 or 404010 fan.
This mod increases the cooling of the hotend, so that any problems with PLA are eliminated. Without the mod, the hotend tends to clog when printing PLA. With the 2525 fan, the heat sink of the hotend is too much in the slipstream of the fan motor and is therefore only insufficiently cooled. With filaments with a slightly higher melting temperature such as PETG / ASA, this is not as noticeable as with rather melting filaments such as PLA.

The mod consists of 3 printed parts.
A base that is screwed onto the BMG extruder, an attachment (intermediate plate) that comes between the fan and the base and an air duct that is inserted into the base.
If you want, you can also print the fan screen or you can use the screen from the Titan hotend fan.

The base and the top can be printed from PLA.
The air duct should be made of at least PETG, better ASA.

If possible, the heating block of the Mosquito should not be located directly under the air duct (see pictures). If you print it from ASA, that shouldn't be a problem either. If in doubt, you can protect the air duct from the heat with some Kapton tape.

The readme.txt file contains a Bill-of-Material considering bolts an nuts.

Of course, anyone else can also be used, as long as there are no space problems.
