Description
A drag knife holder for the CR10S-Pro. I use the holes in the extruder case to mount the holder. The design uses threaded inserts.
Instructions on how to use the software side can be found here:
https://www.instructables.com/Use-3D-Printer-As-a-Plottercutter/
You will need Inkscape and the suggested plugin. Keep in mind the plugin is not compatible with the newest version of Inkscape, so download the latest version before 1.0.
The hole for the blade holder is when printed a bit too small. This is on purpose so use a file to make the holder fit. This is done to prevent too much slack in the placement. The holder must only go up and down.
I use a Cricut low tac cutting mat on the build plate, to keep the vinyl flat. I have a magnetic base and used an old build plate and some spray glue to fix the cutting mat to the build plate.
The clip is to raise the blade holder high enough that you can leave the whole thing while printing.
You will need the following additional parts:
2 x M3 x 12 mm screw
2 x M3x30-35 mm screw
2 x Washer M3
2 x spring 7,3mm x 14,5 mm ( Can be another size, just try)
4 x Threaded insert M3
1 x Blade Holder like this one:
