Description
LED lamp base for the 3D "periodic table of the elements".
(with potted, real elements inside, exclude the radioactive ones ...)
This thing is designed to be used with the acrylic 3D periodic table, which is available in known online shops, My wife gifted me one and I like to light it.
Create your own illuminated showpiece, helpful for education or just as a nice object.
In addition, the socked prevents the periodic table from falling over.
The print is quite simple, one piece, no rafts, no support.
Size is: (only socket) 203 x 49 x 35 mm
Layer 0.2, infill 10%
Material PLA
For the LED mains lamp inside, I used an E14 socket with strain relief, mains cord with plug and switch and a small 1W LED bulb.
All parts are available online or in a DIY store.
Please assemble as shown in the pictures.
Attention: this is a mains lamp! Only experienced electricians shall build it.
Pay attention to correct assembly and good strain relief and avoid any danger.
This is NOT a toy.
the size of the socket is choosen for tight fit the acrylic block, it don´t need glue. If it is too tight, use hot air to carfully smoothen te base.
Designed in TINKERCAD
Enjoy it.
