Description
The bottom of this lampshade was designed to be used with either 1 or 2 LED lightbulbs. The cutouts on the bottom can fit over two light sockets. It also comes together so it can be retained by a single large socket nut that comes with your lamp.
This lampshade should be printed in PETG plastic for the greater heat resistance. PETG also has more flexibility and strength than PLA. I printed it in clear PETG, but it comes out looking frosted and a little shiny.
I used a 1mm nozzle. I would recommend a 0.8mm nozzle at a minimum, bigger is better. 1.2mm is probably ideal.
I used two print profiles in Simplify3D. The bottom 3mm was printed solid with zero top and bottom layers. The top profile was spiral vase mode with zero bottom and top layers.
