Description
I newly designed and built a kinetic sculpture which can be used for wall decor. Each spoke is designed to be inspired by real tree branches. The 15 spokes closely spaced around the center circle create a stunning optical illusion as the positions of the front and rear wings change. I hope you can enjoy the various optical illusions that occur when the rotation speed and direction of the front and rear wings change.
My kinetic art is operated by fully mechanical mechanism such as spring driven and magnetic force. I tried to present the mechanism as much detail as possible in this video.
Further, two kind of wood filaments (normal and dark) and wood stain (BONDEX PERFECT, walnet) were used to give the 3d printed part a wood look. In addition, flexible filament is used to help quiet one-way rotation.
How to make is shared from the links below. I hope your enjoyable DIY life with my work.
