Paulmann Urail end feed joiner

This is a connection piece for two end feeds for the Paulmann URail system of lighting rails, the most common system of mains-voltage lighting rails in Europe. It allows you to connect two end feeds back-to-back, effectively giving you a middle feed.

I made this because I have some rails in polished chrome finish, which Paulmann no longer makes. For my bathroom I needed a straight rail with a middle feed, and in polished chrome they are impossible to find on the used market. End feeds, on the other hand, are quite common. So I designed a small piece that slots into the recess of both end feeds. It is long enough that the connection is more or less straight and leaves enough room for cables to run through.

The dimensions fit snugly and the part prints easily without supports. Depending on your printer and rails you might need to adjust the dimensions a little bit; you can download the SCAD file for that and open it in OpenSCAD, or use the Customizer here to generate a custom STL.

Dies ist ein Verbindungsstück für zwei Endeinspeisungen für das Hochvolt-Lichtschienensystem Paulmann URail. Mit dem Verbindungsstück kann man aus zwei Endeinspeisungen eine 32 cm lange Mitteleinspeisung machen.

Ich hatte URail-Schienen in Chrom Hochglanz, die Paulmann nicht mehr herstellt. Für mein Badezimmer brauchte ich eine lange Schiene mit Mitteleinspeisung. Auf dem Gebrauchtmarkt sind Mitteleinspeisungen in Hochglanz praktisch nicht zu finden, Endeinspeisungen dagegen findet man häufig. Dieses Verbindungsstück wird in die Rückseite der Endeinspeisungen eingeschoben; es ist lang genug, dass die Verbindung einigermaßen gerade ist, und läßt genug Raum für die Verkabelung.

Das Teil sitzt gut und läßt sich ohne Support leicht drucken. Sollten je nach Drucker und Paulmann-Teilen die Toleranzen wider Erwarten nicht passen, kann man zum Anpassen entweder die SCAD-Datei herunterladen und in OpenSCAD öffnen, oder aber die Datei hier in Customizer öffnen und eine neue STL generieren.
