Description
This is the way to to retrofit the phone tray of your T6.0 Multivan with the original QI wireless charger of the Multivan T6.1. It is intended to replace the OEM GSM coupling antenna.
You will need this printed frame, the QI wireless charger module 5NA 980 611 and 4-pin to 6-pin adapter cable. It's available for example at www.carsystems.eu.
If you don't have the coupling antenna as part of your vehicle configuration, wiring is more sophisticated or even impossible. Furthermore the GSM coupling antenna within the QI charger module then will not work. In this case a solution from any aftermarket supplier would be more constructive.
Remove the phone tray and cut off the retaining lugs for the GSM coupling antenna on the bottom side. Check fitting accuracy of the retaining frame and also check if the latching lug snaps in when sliding the QI charger module to lock position. Glue it on the bottom with epoxy resin (eventually roughen the glue surfaces first). Be careful, use only very little of the resin, and avoid warping. One corner of the frame has to be fixed with a clamp while hardening.
Slide in the charger module until it is locked, connect the antenna and the 6-pin connector and reassemble the tray.
Keep in mind that this procedure affords some automotive knowledge and skills.
