Mahindra Max Series Steering Wheel Upper Seal Fix

Mahindra tractors have flaws and the parts are crazy expensive. My steering wheel on my tractor became loose due to the top rubber flange getting past the retaining circlip. The steel ring they use is extremely thin, maybe 1/16th and doesn't have alot of surface area.

The fix is a bit overkill but we wanted to ensure no dust or water got into the mechanism nor that the mechanism failed again. The steering wheel is a nightmare to remove, we used wire tires through the clip holes in the center of the wheel, you may have a better solution, or maybe the dealer might have a special steering wheel puller for it.

The parts list is as follows:
1x Steering Wheel Housing
1x .75in x 1in x .125in flange seal (oil, grease seal)
1x dust cap
1x 5/8 washer

#1 Old Steering Wheel Seal/retainer. Note: center washer caved in.
#2 Step 1: Slide Steering Wheel Housing down the steering wheel shaft until it is flush with the outer housing. Slide Flange Seal down the shaft and seat it into the steering wheel housing.
#3 Steering wheel housing with flange seal installed.
#4 Step 2: Install 3D printed Dust Cap over the seal/housing.
#5 Dust Cap Installed over the seal/housing.
#6 Step 3: Install 5/8 washer over the dust cap and install circlip. DONE!
