4-cup coffee carrier with car tray
I started with a 2-cup carrier and my son wanted more---4 cups, removeable handle and a tray to put it in when driving. He got them all.
I modeled this with Fusion360.
I wanted it to be hefty enough to safely carry 4 large cups and not melt with the heat of the coffee. I have printed it with PLA and PETG. I tested it with 4 cups of hot water and left it hanging in my sink for 20 minutes. There was no distortion with the PETG. It only sagged about .5mm with the PLA.
I place a small towel under the car tray to keep it level on the passenger seat. The carrier slips into the top of the tray. It was stable for my 30-minute test run.
I know it work with cups from McDonald’s, Dunkin and 7-11.
