Description
I’ve been having a lot of fun learning how to, and making keypads since my Logitech G13 died a couple of months ago.
After making a keypad and soldering all the switches in, I wasn’t entirely happy that I couldn’t pull them and easily fit them into a hot-swap board ever again. I designed this so I could easily continue to play with switches across all boards, regardless of whether I'd made the board or not.
This design is inspired by stingray127’s hot-swap socket here on Thingiverse. It’s not a remix, but the inspiration is there. I had trouble getting theirs to work for me - my printer isn’t as finely tuned. This design should accommodate more printers more easily. This design was also intended for simpler board layouts, so the demands are not as high as the Dactyl.
A full set of instructions for assembly is here until Thigiverse can handle PDFs or I put it on Github.
