Not-So-Slimbox (Regular Cherry-style switches)
This is a remix of Jfedor's Slimbox, adapted for use with normal full sized cherry mx style switches.
It also requires no screws nor glue to be kept together.
Update 2:
- Added Less tight caps as a remix with wider holes for switch stem and thinner outer walls. Please try the original first though :)
Update 1:
- Added
Top_Click_in version with significantly thinner floors for the main 12 buttons, allowing some switches to click in with their notches rather than deforming.
- See picture for exaple
Features/differences from original
- Adapted to use full size mechanical switches
- Height increaced to
~25 mm (hence the name)
- Button caps adjusted to fit silicone o-ring (1.25-2.50 mm) under them for dumpening (optional)
- Requires no screws or glue to be kept together
- (pretty much) All new microcontroller code that allows for:
- Debouncing on per-button basis
- ever had your input registered twice on one press? Never again!
- S.O.C.D cleaning of your liking (trust me, you will need this)
- ever pressed forward AND back simultaniously and had the game freak out? Not going to happen any more!
Code
The code can be found >> here << and is suited for any ATmega32U4- based board.
Originally forked from jfedor2/gamepad repo, but departed heavliy from it.
Switches
I used Kalilh Box Royal and Outemu Silent Gray and I liked boxed ones more. The traditional "pillar"- style stem seems a bit to wobbly for the sizes of button caps here.
Depending on the switch you chose, your mileage may vary.
