Description
I finally got around to designing some buttons for my FinalGROM99 cart. This is the excellent flashcart for the TI99-4/a home computer. Designed by Ralph Benzinger. https://endlos99.github.io/finalgrom99/. By using a common (and useless) cartridge, you can have a very clean and nice-looking FinalGROM99 flashcart. You'll just have to sacrifice a Home Financial Decisions cart or something.
The buttons are just caps that fit on top of the small micro buttons on the circuit board. They are designed to fit perfectly in a standard 1/4" hole. I also designed a drilling template to go with it. I just updated the button caps. This design improves the button pressing even if they are not lined up perfectly with the holes.
I also designed a fake FinalGROM99 circuit board to help you test fit it without having to constantly handle the actual board. Be sure to let the build plate cool down before removing the print. Otherwise it will bend.
Print the buttons upside down with a brim or it might float off the print bed. When drilling, be very careful to be drilling vertically. It's really easy to go at an angle.
Included here is also a decent label for the cart. Good luck!
NOTE- The drilling template helps you line up precise holes for the buttons. Hold the drill straight up vertical (or use a drill press). Remove the drilling template after drilling the holes. It is not designed to stay in the shell!
