We have customized the Raspberry Pi Zero series to supply power without connecting a micro USB cable. Just insert it into a USB 5V power supply like a stick PC.

The USB-A connector section is mounted on a universal board cut out to 10 by 6 (8 by 4 inner) and The hole next to the connector can be extended with a 3.2mm drill to mount it directly in the case.

Note that the USB connector is not wired from the pad section on the back side, so the data line is not supplied.
