Description
The humble concrete box culvert is often overlooked, yet they are used all over the world to provide cost-effective drainage solutions for roads and railways. They come is a variety of sizes and profiles, depending on manufacturer. My model is based on a 1200mm high x 1800mm wide unit from Humes Concrete, an Australian manufacturer. It represents twin precast cells installed on a cast-in-situ base, with cast-in-situ wingwalls and parapet. The internal sections come in two widths. A complete model consists of two outer/wingwall sections and as many internal sections as needed to achieve the width you want. 1:87 scale but should re-scale easily. Designed in Tinkercad and printed on an Anycubic Mono X.
