M8 bolt in two parts

First an apology: this is a rather last resort option.
Were this Reddit, I would get a comment in seconds telling me to use premium carbon fibre PLA or ABS filament. But I want to use regular PLA. As I have found this model useful, I uploading these anyway.

Logic: Real metal bolts are great if you have the right size... but many models require obscure sizes of bolts normally because they are a downscaled M8x25, e.g. M6x17.
Printed bolts are generally printed vertically, ie. longitudinal axis on the Z axis. This has the issue that the resulting print is weakest with transverse force, so they shear easily.

An easy solution is to print the bolts with the longitudinal axis on the Y axis and with supports, but I hate removing supports.

As a result I have made a split M8x25 bolt with a glue canal allowing me to print them with the longitudinal axis on the Y axis without supports. The nut screws in fine and in the case I have tried they have not come apart at the seam...
