Description
"Hong Kong's Goddess of Democracy is [or was] a 6.4-metre faux bronze statue sculpted by Chen Weiming, inspired by the original 10-metre tall Goddess of Democracy. The original foam and papier-mâché statue was erected by the Chinese pro-democracy movement in Tiananmen Square at the end of May 1989, and destroyed by soldiers clearing the protesters from Tiananmen square on June 4, 1989." ~Wikipedia
This is a hastily-produced approximated replica of the original 1989 statue, made using DesktopHero and customised in Blender and 3D Maker, intended to support students in Hong Kong hiding similar small replicas around their university campuses on the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square incident of 1989, by providing access to an easily downloadable model for printing (the Great Firewall of China notwithstanding).
Can be printed without supports if small, or with minimal supports if larger.
Versions with no text, and with text "1989北京" (1989 Beijing) on front and "民主女神" (Goddess of Democracy) on back provided.
