Description

Huvud v0.51 and v0.61 board stepper mount and chain mount.

This Huvud board stepper mount is specifically for the Bondtech LGX direct drive extruder, although I think it will work for a standard 42mm stepper motor, but fully tested. This mount provides a gap between the back of the Huvud board the surface of the extruder drive and is orientated to suit the terminal layout on the back of the Huvud board.

The Huvud board stepper mount press fits into the screw rebates of the stepper motor when mounting. The chain mount then sits over the huvud board.

Using M3 screws to mount I have had to shorten them work, so no specific lengths yet. I will update here with screw lengths at a later date.

N.B! the USB jack on the board becomes usable with the chain mount. I have setup my Huvud board to update over the CAN bus therefore the USB is not required. However you can always remove the board to update it via USB.

Print quality is entirely up to you, however I printed both these in ABS+ at 0.16 layer height, 3 layers top and bottom, 20 walls and 0% infill… all for strength of course. No supports required.

I only used the L and R shields from this link.
